About Tagbloom

Tagbloom is a small, independent website that offers a free tag and hashtag generator for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, alongside a blog of practical guides for people who make content. This page explains who we are, why the site exists, how the tool works and how the site pays for itself.

Who we are

Tagbloom is a small independent project. It is not a company with a large team, and it is not backed by an agency, a platform or a publisher. The site is run by one person who looks after the tool, the articles and the inbox. We do not claim any special credentials, and we do not pretend to be a social media agency or a team of analysts. What we can promise is that the content is written with care, reviewed before it goes live and corrected when we get something wrong. You can read more about how that works in our Editorial Policy.

Why the site exists

Picking tags and hashtags is a small task that takes up a surprising amount of time. Many creators, especially those just starting out, end up copying long lists from other posts without knowing whether the tags suit their content. Platform advice also changes often, which makes older guides unreliable. We built Tagbloom to make that first step quicker and calmer: type in a topic, get a clean set of ideas, and then decide for yourself what fits your post.

The blog exists for the same reason. Each article tries to answer one practical question in plain English, with steps you can use the same day and a reminder to check the official Help Centre of the platform for current rules.

How the tool works

The Tagbloom generator is designed to be simple and private.

  • It runs in your browser. The tags are produced by code that runs on your own device once the page has loaded.
  • Nothing you type into the generator is sent to a server. The topics and phrases you enter stay in your browser and are not stored by us.
  • It does not know live search volume. We do not have access to data about how many people search for a phrase today, so we never show search volume, competition scores or engagement figures.
  • Tier labels are estimates. Tags are labelled Broad, Niche or Long-tail. These labels are an estimate based on how specific a phrase is. A short, general word is usually Broad, and a longer, more specific phrase is usually Long-tail. They are a guide to help you mix tags sensibly, not a measurement of popularity.

Because the tool cannot see what is trending, we encourage you to check suggestions in the search bar of the platform you are posting on, and to look at your own analytics over time.

What we believe

  • Useful advice should be free to read and free to use.
  • Honest limits are better than confident guesses. If we do not know something, we say so.
  • No tool or article can promise views, followers or income, and we will never suggest that one can.
  • Your privacy matters. A tag generator does not need your personal data, so we do not ask for it.
  • Platforms change their rules. Where an article mentions a rule, we phrase it cautiously and point you to the official source.

How the site is funded

Tagbloom is free to use. There are no accounts, subscriptions or paywalls. The site has running costs, such as hosting and a domain name, and these are currently met by the owner. In future, advertising may be shown on the site, including ads served through Google AdSense. If that happens, ads will be clearly labelled and separate from our articles, we will never ask anyone to click them, and they will not influence what we write or recommend. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how advertising and cookies are handled.

Not affiliated with any platform

Tagbloom is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Instagram, Meta, TikTok, YouTube or Google. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what our guides cover. Our Disclaimer has more detail.
